Education or Indoctrination: Ethnic Studies in K-12
October 27 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
Join us on October 27 @8:00pm ET for our livestream on Education or Indoctrination: Ethnic Studies in K-12.
The education system is now at the forefront of contentious national debates, as educators and parents clash over how to appropriately teach our children about racism, oppression, and equality. What curriculum helps students see themselves in education and understand overlooked parts of history? What curriculum indoctrinates students, forcing them to accept a series of narrow assumptions? This is not an issue of right- or left-wing politics, it’s a non-partisan concern for those who believe in an honest treatment of history that does not force feed any single political agenda. Join the Institute for Liberal Values (ILV), Alliance for Constructive Ethnic Studies (ACES), the Jewish Institute for Liberal Values (JILV) and Free Black Thought (FBT), as they discuss the differences between education and indoctrination in our classrooms.
Register below and ILV will send you the livestream link on October 27. It will also be available live on both the JILV and FBT Twitter pages. Mark your calendars!
